Pre-ICG!

A testimonial from a CSS member on the recent pre-ICG. Below are some pictures from that day also!

Hey guys, if you did not attended the pre-ICG at the Holy Family Church in Kajang then, you definitely missed a wonderful opportunity. This was a gathering among CSS members from different universities in KL Archdiocese. It was like a big family gathering held in conjunction to the ICG camp this Raya weekend. Although at first, I felt a bit awkward with all these unfamiliar faces, I managed to get along with them very well. Everyone here was friendly. Actually, I am quite disappointed with the amount turned up on that day. Not the number that was expected. What happened? “Have I not chosen you to be my disciples? Why keep yourself away from me but put more effort to the things of this world.”
The first speaker, Father Clarence Dass gave a talk on ‘Freedom’ in the context of religion and morality. He did mention a lot but due to the stuffy surrounding, I caught only the part of the “living soul” in every human being. This made me feel like I have been neglecting my spiritual welfare all these while. Everyone knows that we need food to maintain our physical body, the same goes to our spiritual body (our soul). However, the only difference is that we need God along this pathway. God sees through us, he knows everything just that we are given the choice to live according to our free will. Due to the strong temptations from this world, we fall and turn away from God. But God’s assurance for us is so great that he promised not to leave us alone, “I’ll never neglect nor abandon you, put your trust in Me and I will give you the peace that the world can never give.”
Next, it was the games and icebreaking session. Haha, our CSS-ATOMIC team prepared the games. Suddenly, I felt so proud for the CSS in UCSI. It was fun and I guessed many enjoyed through the happy faces drawn on them.
After that came the praise and worship part. Whoa, that was amazing. This was my favorite part. It was wonderful. There was a musical team from UTAR, a lady with an excellent voice, plus the drums, and I just felt like want to praise God non-stop. At that moment, I was touched by all the talents surrounding us. It’s all God’s wonderful creation. It’s unexplainable; the Almighty Lord is so great, Alleluia!!
Finally, it was time to kiss goodbye. Yup, I gained a lot of exposure and am positive that those who attended the pre ICG did learn something as well. For those who missed this, never mind. There’s always a chance for you. Haha, waiting for next year
~ God bless!!!~

Warmest regard to all the CSS-UCSI ATOMIC members,
Lina
